Baby Gat

This sketch began as a quick doodle that I created while practicing on my new tablet and as an intended exercise in form. As the drawing progressed it developed into a slightly unnerving piece do to the juxtaposition of the toddler, who is cute and innocent, reaching into his waist band for who-knows-what, with a bearded man’s sharp and emotionless face. I added heavy shadows to the black and white drawing for contrast and depth while the weighing the saturation of the tones to the balance of dark and light, good and evil, child and adult.
