I was contacted by a friend that worked at a local church whose youth group was actively seeking a new logo design. The youth group provides activities and events throughout the year and intended to use the logo on posters, fliers, and apparel. The goal for this project was to create a logo design that would appeal to the target demographic of 8-15 year olds, as well as be accepted by the church leaders. I decided to go with a symmetrical design balance that would lead the attention of the viewer to the focal point of the cross in the center. The rainbow color scheme was specified by the client to signify diversity, acceptance, and fun!
